What is your favorite childhood book?
My favorite childhood book is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein. I love sharing this book with my students when we have free time for a read aloud, it is a wonderful story with a great message!
What is your secret talent?
I wouldn’t necessarily call it a talent but I love to cook and experiment with new recipes. My husband’s favorite food is curry so I am always trying new variations of the dish.
Who was your favorite teacher in Elementary School and why?
Mrs. Lampson, she always saw my potential when I struggled academically. She saw my hyperactivity as an asset to our class and created new fun ways for me to learn. This was my very first experience with differentiation and I excelled with her.
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
The kids! I couldn’t imagine waking up every day and not working with the most adorable, silly, intelligent, and genuine little people I have the pleasure to as a teacher. I wouldn’t trade my job or calling as a teacher for anything!
What is your favorite subject to teach and why?
I love teaching kiddos to read, it has always been something I have been passionate about and a true hobby of mine. Sharing the love of a book with my students is priceless.

Our passion for kids and teaching drives us, so it is wonderful sharing that with other like-minded individuals.
