Goodnight Moon was my favorite childhood book because it turned bedtime into a magical ritual. I loved everything about the book– but the real fun began after the story ended. Just like the bunny in the book, I insisted on saying goodnight to everything in my room: “Goodnight lamp, goodnight chair, goodnight stuffed animals…” Bedtime took forever!

My secret talent is that I can do a headstand!

My favorite part of teaching is witnessing the incredible growth that unfolds over the year—seeing students gain confidence, master new skills, and come into their own is the most rewarding part of the job.

My favorite subject to teach is phonics because it’s the foundation for reading success. I love seeing the moment when it clicks for a child—that spark of confidence when they begin to decode words and realize they can read. It’s empowering and sets them up for lifelong learning.
