Who was your favorite teacher in Elementary School and Why?
My favorite teacher growing up was Mr. Unger. He always had kind things to say to me and made me feel that I could turn to him in times of need. He influenced me to start trying different sports and kept me out of trouble. I was also best friends with his daughter Kayla growing up!
What is your favorite thing about teaching?
My favorite thing about teaching is seeing the enjoyment kids have when they come to P.E. class. When students leave with an appreciation of a new game, sport, or being active makes me think about how I felt when Mr. Unger influenced me as a young student.
What is your favorite subject to teach and why?
P.E. is my favorite subject to teach because students learn to how to communicate, cooperate, and to take care of their bodies.
Why are you excited to be a part of the Willow family?
I am excited to be part of the Willow Elementary family because this is a great community of staff, students, and parents. Making an impact on other people’s lives is a big part of why I became a teacher. I feel so blessed to have that opportunity in this great community.
